SUN: PRAY FOR ALL LEADERS OF ASIAN CHURCHES
1) 178 EHC BRANCHES IN 165 NATIONS: EHC Russia conducted care outreach to a remote village untouched by the Gospel. The journey to get there by boat takes almost 30 days. Pray for their travel costs and social assistance funds to help the villagers and for hearts to be touched by Christ’s love.
2) 490K CHRIST GROUPS WORLDWIDE: After their Easter outreach, EHC Cyprus setup an Arabic Bible study group which attracted 18 participants who previously subscribed to various other religions. Pray for their spiritual life and growth.
3) EHC HQ AND BRANCHES IN EVANGELISM: Political parties clash while undergraduates hold protests in Bangladesh. By God’s grace, their EHC team worked with 12 churches to reach out amidst the turmoil. Pray for the Gospel’s power to bring peace to their nation.
MON: PRAY FOR GOVERNMENTS AND THEIR LEADERS IN ASIA
1) FEED 5,000 CAMPAIGN IN AFRICA: EHC Cameroon plans to work with the church in Garoua to reach out to the unsaved in various villages and edify the faith of new believers. Pray for their successful outreach.
2) CCIS ‘25 PREPARATIONS: Discussions and arrangements are ongoing for the programs and the fundraising dinner on 09 Sept. We hope for encouraging responses to the appeal letters sent to churches. Pray for more brethren to participate.
3) NATIONAL DAY: This year is the 60th milestone year of Singapore’s independence. Pray for the celebrations this August and for political and economic stability, and churches and believers to uphold Christ and His Gospel.
TUES: PRAY FOR EVANGELISM IN THE ASIAN WORKPLACE
1) SEHC VACANCY FOR OFFICE ASSISTANT: The candidate should be aged around 50, be a brethren in Christ and holds a driving license. The job involves mail handling such as for Prayer Times and local or overseas parcels, and book inventory management. Please pray for a suitable candidate.
2) “EVERYONE MUST READ”: This book by the renowned Rev. Samuel Lamb compiles testimonies of famous persons and leading scientists as a cloud of witnesses for readers to show that Christians are neither ignorant nor uneducated. Pray for the 30K copies reprinted in APAC to be useful in God’s work.
3) TAMAN MIDAH LUTHERAN CHURCH: The church caught fire on 10 June, and the sanctuary and AV equipment were damaged, but the office was unscathed. Thanks be to God that there were no casualties and the church continues to stand. Pray for the rebuilding of their worship premises and kindergarten.
WED: PRAY FOR SOCIAL CARE MINISTRY IN ASIA
1) GAMING ADDICTION: Most are students, and helpless parents have a big heartache. This affects even Christian youths and is worrying. Pray for youth ministries to guide the addicted youth out of bondage.
2) WORRIES OF LIFE / HOPE FOR TOMORROW / BLESSINGS: Life BP Church will print 5K each of these tracts with their address for their members to distribute. Pray for the numbers of their saved to increase for the Lord.
3) SEHC MINISTRY: After clearing our books from the rented storage, we still have many books coming in from Malaysia from Evergreen Publishing this June and July. Pray for the storage of these books and for them to edify many readers.
THU: PRAY FOR ASIAN TRIBAL CHURCHES & LIT. EVANGELISM
1) SEHC INTERCESSORS AND DONORS: SEHC has received less love offerings as banks cease cheque use and many seniors are unfamiliar with electronic transfers. Pray for more good stewards of God’s resources to invest in heavenly wealth.
2) “EMPEROR OF THE UNIVERSE”: Hundreds of lives were lost in the Air India crash. Life is unpredictable but this booklet helps us find the origin of life, truth, hope, and joy. 30K will be printed in East Asia. Please pray for it.
3) LOCAL BRETHREN IN TRACT OUTREACH: A sister in Christ gave a taxi driver a tract, and he exclaimed in surprise because he was hoping to know more after someone shared the Gospel with him. Pray for God to raise more brethren who are ready to evangelize with tracts at any time.
FRI: PRAY FOR SEMINARY EDUCATION AND AGENCY MINISTRY
1) OIKOS OUTREACH: The OIKOS volunteers would patiently explain the Gospel to anyone who were willing to listen to the Gospel and return for visits until the person is ready to accept Christ, all for the salvation of souls. Pray for their tireless labour and for the faith of the new believers.
2) BIBLE DISTRIBUTION: The people of the world are like lost sheep, but the Bible has the wisdom to lead them. 20K will be distributed to needy regions in East Asia. Pray for God to oversee the smooth distribution so that many can be guided out of darkness into His light.
3) “GOD LOVES THE WORLD / DO YOU KNOW”: Lawlessness increases in the end times and love is diminished. A world without love intensifies suffering. 2 million copies of this tract will be printed in East Asia to let people know how much God loves and cares for them.
SAT: PRAY FOR THE MISSION MINISTRY OF ASIAN CHURCHES
1) “LOVE ON ITS KNEES”: Intercession is not simply prayer but is co-labouring with God and drawing on His authority to oppose the powers of darkness. This book teaches readers to pray for their world, family, church, and country. 20K will be printed in East Asia. Pray for God’s use of it in His kingdom.
2) “GET WELL SOON”: A friend paid a visit to a hospital and noticed the wards were filled with many lonely seniors who did not have any caring visitors. This tract reminds us that Jesus is the best doctor and heals us in His mercy. Pray for it to be used in hospital visits to bring love and hope to lonely patients.
3) PRAYERS FOR THE UNWELL: Rev. Kao had a fall and is undergoing physiotherapy. Sis. Fang Jinlan is on oral medication for treatment of pancreatic cancer. SEHC volunteer Sis. Huang is hospitalized in IMH for depression relapse. Rev. Oh Beng Kee is undergoing regular dialysis, and his heart functions have weakened. Pray for the Lord’s healing on all these brethren so they can recover soon.
