FEED 5,000 – EVANGELISM IN AFRICA

  1. A) EHC Angola: Social and economic unrest has had a profound impact on families, and the burden of daily survival led many Angolans to avoid having children. Poverty is also a major factor behind many divorces. The challenge for the evangelism team lies in providing support and guidance to help these families seek God. Pray for more churches to work together in this mission to transform communities with the Gospel.
  2. B) EHC Liberia: Co-workers from the team went to Monrovia Central Prison hoping to evangelize to 1,600 inmates. Unfortunately, permission was denied, so they could only share the Gospel with the prison staff and visitors. Pray that the inmates can have an opportunity to hear the Gospel soon. The co-workers also faced hostility and danger in pagan-controlled areas. Pray for their safe passage and success as they continue to spread the Gospel.
  3. C) EHC Burundi: Burundi faces a severe outbreak of the mutated mpox virus, with many people infected. Pray for their healthcare authorities to double down on controlling its spread and for their outreach co-workers and volunteers to be protected by the Lord's grace.

CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS IN SINGAPORE (CCIS) FUNDRAISING AND PROGRAMMES

The fundraising dinner held in September was a success and raised more than $50,000. To date, the committee’s efforts have raised half of the $350,000 budget. We are deeply thankful to the Lord for the generous support and contributions of the brethren. As Christmas draws near, we hope that more churches, Christian businesses, and believers will continue to give generously to support this year's celebrations and fill the remaining funding gap. Pray for all the efforts to celebrate Christ's birth, so that many who have not heard the Gospel will come to confess Jesus is Lord (Phil. 2:11) during this Christmas season.

Programme preparations have been smooth and several overseas artistes and groups have confirmed their participation. Please pray for the accommodation and permit arrangements. To seize the opportunity for literary outreach, SEHC plans to print 20,000 copies of the tract "What If There Were No Christmas?" for distribution alongside the gospel comic book "Emmanuel" aimed at children and seniors, both in Orchard Road and at various housing estates. Please pray for this outreach. Due to a shortage of volunteers, we call on more brethren to support the distribution. Interested parties may collect the tracts and comic books from our bookroom. The return of the Lord is near, so the pace of evangelism must hasten. We pray that you will actively support this year's Christmas celebrations with your intercession and love offerings.

COURAGEOUS EHC TEAMS EVANGELIZE CREATIVE ACCESS REGIONS

In the northern part of country N, Christians endure suffering for their faith, and evangelism requires wisdom and shrewd to succeed. Pray for the Lord to sustain the co-workers and volunteers and grant them strength as they boldly proclaim the Gospel, and for believers to stand firm in their faith amidst persecution.

At refugee camps along the borders of country D, life is extremely harsh. The co-workers have been evangelizing among the refugees, leading many to know Christ and enrol in discipleship courses. Pray for these new believers to experience the joy of the Holy Spirit despite their trials and grow in the word of God, becoming beautiful testimonies for Christ.

The EHC team in country E thanked God for raising brave believers who are willing to face opposition to join them. Pray for God to equip them to fulfill their mission and for unbelievers to open their hearts to the Gospel and discover the invaluable gift of salvation.

REPRINT OF ENGLISH-CHINESE BILINGUAL TRACT “WHERE CAN YOU FIND TRUE LOVE”

Human beings yearn for true love, but where can it be found? In this tract, Dr. James Yu explains the way to finding true love. Modern society is busy and full of distractions, and many people feel lonely. Those who long for love often place their hopes in human love, and some are even deceived in their search for love. Even when they could find a person who truly loves them, that love can fade over time. Love from this world is limited and fleeting, unable to truly satisfy the heart. What we truly need is the love of the one true God. His transcendent, heavenly love is unchanging, selfless, and sacrificial, as demonstrated through the incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the sins of the world. By trusting in Jesus, one can receive this true love. We encourage all brethren to use this tract to guide those seeking true love, helping them to know the great heavenly love of God.

Bro. Silas Wu wrote the first book, a collection of Bible study insights from a co-workers’ fellowship gathering whose audio recording was organized into seven chapters. This book showcases Brother Wu's deep reflection and understanding of the Bible in three key ways, demonstrating to readers his thoughtful analysis of topics such as human weakness and God's power. The second book, authored by Rev. Dr. Dick Eastman, shares his extensive insight and over thirty years of personal practice and experience on the topic of prayer, including several thousand hours of close observation of intercessors. It consists of seven chapters and is a valuable gift for believers. May God use these two books to bless many.
